Having both featured on the Casablanca EP with their track “Waterfall” in early 2015, Marc Prause and Kazim Aprendiz have once again proved themselves with this compelling piece of music.
The Oasis EP tastefully straddles the gap between throbbing tech house and the melodic side of contemporary Berlin.
Medicine Man kicks off proceedings with eerie builds slowly tapping into grooves alongside sporadic high hats formulating into rolling kick drums and a progressive bassline and synth melody which rises and falls throughout. A real 3am anticipation generator for a dark, smokey room. Oasis builds upon the mood wonderfully, hitting you straight away with a euphoric synth line carefully built upon via steppy percussion and sinister samples which sound like they’ve been carved out of the jungle. The track then drops into a four to the floor, hollow high-hat groove which is then built upon through some airy synth reverb. Heads-down boogie. Marc rounds of the Ep with something a bit chunkier. Puppi boasts elements of trance and fully locked-in techno and is certainly one for a late night dancefloor. A fitting ending to a powerful 3 track journey.
